Friends don’t let friends wear unattractive eyewear—why wouldn’t you extend the same courtesy to your son or daughter?

Here at Warby Parker, there’s nothing that disagrees more with us than seeing a cute kid wearing heinous glasses. That’s why we’re pleased to announce today our new children’s collection, featuring several of our classic vintage-inspired frames—each crafted in youthful hues, small enough to custom fit your child’s face.
The landscape for children’s eyewear is just as cluttered as it is for adults, with overpriced, underperforming options, making it difficult for parents to find stylish options for their kids. Customers have emailed and called us, wondering where they could find great-looking, environmentally-friendly frames for their sons and daughters at a fair price. We’ve listened. We’re proud to bring children’s optical care to the forefront with our newest collection—a line that is sure to help kids see the whiteboard, even from the very back of the classroom.
Whether they’re reading a book, kicking the soccer ball around, or going on a bike ride with their friends, we believe that all kids deserve the gift of sight.
Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point. We could not be more excited to launch Warby Parker for Kids, and we can think of no better way to do this than by extending our Warby Parker Class Trip into the springtime.
For the first half of this year, Warby Parker has been touring the nation, visiting nine cities in six months to bring our showroom experience to life. It’s been our version of the field trip kids dream about, and yes, it’s been on a real-life school bus.
But this time, we want to introduce Warby Parker for Kids by bringing our frames to the kids. As strong supporters of libraries and lifelong learners ourselves, we’ll be making our way across the nation, stopping at libraries and book festivals, inviting you and your kids to hop on our bus and come try on a pair of Warbys.
We’ll be bringing along a team of eyewear stylists and a full selection of optical and sunwear for moms, dads, and kids alike. It’ll be a family affair, and you won’t want to miss us. This spring, catch us at public libraries in your local neighborhood as we journey across the United States from our headquarters in New York City all the way to the city of Los Angeles. On April 21st, 2013, our tour bus will reach its final destination at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, at the campus of the University of Southern California.
Tell your kids to bring their brothers and sisters, bring their friends, and even bring their teddy bears, because a family affair isn’t complete without a photo-op. That’s right—we’ll have a fun photo booth on site to take snapshots in your favorite Warby Parker frames, just in case playing with Virtual Try-On isn’t fun enough, you can’t decide on a pair, or you simply want something to remember the occasion by.
Warby Parker for Kids launches exclusively on our website today, but stay tuned for more details about our Warby Parker Field Trip tour coming to you this spring. Our new frames come with the same anti-reflective, polycarbonate prescription lenses—the same quality you can count on from us, and at a proportionately realistic price.
For only $75 a pop, your kids will be the coolest on the block.
